A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

assists an illegal alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or encourages that illegal alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL VIGIL FOR DUSTIN INMAN
 
In Georgia, Billy and Kathy Inman have organized a candlelight vigil to keep alive the memory of their only son, Dustin, and to draw attention to the fact that the illegal alien from Mexico - Gonzalo-Harrell Gonzalez who killed their son - remains free.
 
Dustin Inman, age 16, was killed when Gonzalez plowed into the rear of the Inman’s car while the family was on its way for a weekend Father’s Day celebration of five years ago.
 
As a further result of the crash, Kathy Inman, Dustin’s mother, will forever be confined to a wheelchair. Billy Inman will not be receiving a Father’s Day card this year. – again.

September 16, 2004 NO DRIVERS LICENSES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!

On September 16, 2004 a group calling itself ESTAMOS UNIDOS ["WE ARE UNITED"], and The Hispanic Services Foundation [a for profit company] scheduled a “march” to demand driver’s licenses for illegal aliens at the Capitol Building in Atlanta, Georgia.

By the end of the day, there were an estimated 800-1,000 illegal aliens and those who profit from them openly congregated on the steps of the Georgia capitol. There were no apprehensions by the BICE [formerly INS] agents, although BICE was informed of the event and was encouraged to carry out its sworn duty. (See USC Title 8, section 1324.)

!VIVA LA MIGRA!

THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE FOUNDATION peaceably assembled across the street from the illegal aliens “march” in a demonstration of our own to demand that our laws be enforced and our borders be secured. We protest the organized crime that is illegal immigration, and the fact that our government allows and assists that crime. We protest any and all amnesty proposals for these illegal aliens.

Last June 16, 2004

On June 16, 2004, THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE welcomed attendees as they arrived for their Washington D.C. MALDEF "awards" banquet at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Washington. D.C. See photos of the protest.

The MALDEF Awards Dinner is in reality, a fundraiser. According to the MALDEF form 990 IRS tax form for non-profit corporations, they made over $600,000 in the year 2001. That figure WILL BE WELL IN EXCESS OF a million U.S. dollars this year. These fundraisers are conducted all over the nation. (See the MALDEF calendar and the Hispanic Events calendar).

From MALDEF's announcement: This event brings together an audience with an attention to developing quality educational and employment opportunities for all Americans. Historically, MALDEF’s annual dinners attract a number of prominent attorneys, corporate executives, and civic leaders. THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE protested the un-American MALDEF* annual awards banquet in Atlanta on May 6, 2004.

There is no more un-American organization in the nation than MALDEF. Here is a group that openly advocates for, assists, enables and encourages illegal aliens and the ongoing invasion of our country. This event was a celebration to honor the criminals who do the best job of assisting illegal aliens.

MALDEF spends the large majority of its time, and its $14 million net assets in the effort to continue to build the "nation within a nation" that is the stated goal of the illegal alien lobby in our country.

• "...MALDEF has redirected much of its effort to bilingual and bicultural education - i.e., promotion of the Spanish language and "Hispanic" propaganda - and immigration - i.e., promotion of massive "Hispanic" immigration in opposition to the wishes of the majority of U.S. citizens. Among some of its actions:
• MALDEF supported the plaintiffs in "Lau v. Nichols." The ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court requiring non-English speaking students to be taught in English or "other adequate instructional procedures" was successfully misinterpreted by MALDEF to mean education in languages other than English.
• MALDEF sought to amend the "Bilingual Education Act" so general instruction could be conducted in languages other than English and bicultural programs could be included in the education.
• MALDEF litigated for free public education for the children of illegal aliens that successfully culminated in the 1982 U.S. Supreme Court decision in "Plyer v. Doe."
• MALDEF opposed California Proposition 187 that denied illegal aliens free social and welfare services and filed a class action lawsuit "challenging its every provision."
• Some individuals associated with MALDEF have demanded that U.S. citizenship be eliminated as a requirement to vote.
• MALDEF sought and received legal status to naturalize immigrants.
• MALDEF successfully lobbied for passage of the "motor-voter" bill of 1993 that allows voter registration at welfare offices or when applying for a drivers' license; mandates mail-in voter registration and discourages States from verifying the applicant's eligibility or citizenship.
• MALDEF opposes immigration reform.
• MALDEF opposes securing the Mexican border even to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S. When the Federal government launched "Joint Task Force Six" to combat drug smuggling along the border, MALDEF filed suit to halt the project arguing in court that "it would cause irreparable damage to the human and physical environment in the area." What of the irreparable damage being done to the human and environment due to illegal aliens and drug smugglers? On that question, MALDEF is silent.

What is MALDEF's goal? According to Mario Obeldo, former head of MALDEF, "California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who does not like it should leave." In 1998, Obledo was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Clinton.

MALDEF obtains the funding to support its activities primarily from corporations in particular AT&T and IBM, and philanthropic foundations. For the period 1991-1995, the total amount of "gifts, grants and contributions" to MALDEF was over $17 million. Between 1996 and 1998, MALDEF received over nine million dollars from just three foundations the vast majority, over six million dollars from the ford foundation, $1,200,000 from Carnegie Corporation, and another $1,525,000 from the Rockefeller Foundation.

For the two-year period, 1995-1996, MALDEF paid a total of $720,992 in "compensation of officers, directors, etc.." But paid $4,021,363 in "other salaries and wages". For the MALDEF 2002 /2003 financial report, click here.

Last February 5, 2004

On February 5, THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE demonstrated at the Georgia State Capitol building, Atlanta Georgia, to register protest of pending legislation to grant illegal aliens drivers licenses, the state of Georgia's acceptance of the Mexican Matricula Consular ID, and to register our outrage at the Bush administration's proposed amnesty for criminal employers and illegal aliens.

The rally was a great success, and we had a good turn-out...THANKS to Mr. Terry Anderson and all who braved the 33 degree wind and rain to come and make their voices heard. Special thanks to Mr. Richard Humphries for coming from his home in Arizona to join us.

We plan many more such demonstrations - for example our June demonstration - when we can show MALDEF what we think of their ongoing aid and assistance to illegal aliens in the violation of Federal law. See pictures of the rally.
